With my IR Remote Receiver for the Nakamichi ST-7 AM/FM Tuner there needs to be a jumper wire added inside the tuner near the remote jack.
Open the tuner by removing the 6 screws (3 per side). Next to the remote jack is a resistor labeled R303 (see pictures below). Use the supplied jumper to connect the two sides of the resistor together. Make sure the mini grabber has a secure grip on the resistors leads.
Replace the cover and reinstall the 6 screws.
